Caulfield North Architects, Melbourne

Davidov Architects works across Caulfield North and Glen Eira on residential architecture and interiors, including new homes, renovations, extensions, heritage-sensitive upgrades, townhouses and boutique apartments. Our work is shaped by atmosphere, light, privacy, proportion and material longevity.

Caulfield North has a particular residential character, with established gardens, generous streets and a strong architectural lineage that includes period homes, mid-century residences and more recent infill. We approach this mix with restraint, seeking a clear relationship between existing fabric and new work.

In Caulfield North, the strongest outcomes are often quiet and composed. Deep plans, neighbouring properties and established streetscapes call for careful control of openings, outlook and threshold. Privacy, shelter and natural light are considered together, rather than treated as separate concerns.

Courtyards, layered entries and protected outdoor rooms often become important planning devices. They allow homes to borrow light, hold privacy and create moments of calm within denser suburban settings.

Our approach is refined and restrained, using a limited palette of durable materials and a clear spatial sequence. We aim to create homes that feel grounded, calm and enduring, with details that are considered from the earliest stages of design.

We remain closely involved through concept design, design development, approvals, tendering and contract administration. The aim is a coherent process and a resolved result, where decisions are made with care and carried through to construction.

We are proud to have completed several notable projects in Caulfield, including the JDF Residence, the LDS Residence I, LDS Residence II, RSB Residence, RZTK Residence, Anderson Street Townhouses and Caulfield North Residences.
