Architecture and Interior Design Mornington Peninsula
On the Mornington Peninsula, we begin with light, shelter, and orientation. We work across new homes, coastal retreats, renovations, extensions and heritage-sensitive upgrades across Mornington Peninsula Shire.
Our work responds to exposure, shade, wind, and the changing character of light through seasons.
Nestled close to Melbourne yet seemingly a world away, the Mornington Peninsula remains a place of contrast and relief. Rural and coastal conditions sit side by side. Big sky, strong horizons, and the weight of landscape shape how a home should feel, not just how it should look.
Whether perched on the hills of Red Hill and Main Ridge or set into the coastal edges of Sorrento and St Andrews Beach, the Peninsula demands a careful relationship between comfort and openness. Outlook is valuable, but so is privacy. Light is abundant, but it needs calibration. Shelter is never decorative here. It is the foundation of atmosphere.
Working on the Peninsula
Working on the Peninsula calls for a careful reading of place, planning controls and environmental conditions. Many sites are shaped by bushfire requirements, erosion management overlays and local planning provisions, all of which need to be understood early and carried through the design process. Our experience across these conditions helps us guide clients with clarity, maintain momentum where possible, and protect the intent of the architecture.
Our architectural approach is refined and restrained, not as a style, but as a discipline. We focus on solid, resolved forms and natural, durable materials chosen for the way they weather over time. Courtyards and protected edges are often used as planning devices, grounding the architecture, creating privacy and relief from wind, and shaping atmosphere through borrowed light and shadow.
We work closely with clients through concept design, design development, documentation, and construction. The process is collaborative and guided. We explain decisions clearly and refine the work carefully so the final home feels coherent, calm, and enduring.
We have completed several notable projects in the Mornington Peninsula, including EPSC Residence, Sorrento Bathhouse, HMM Residence, LPS Residence, Portsea Villas and Polperro Winery.
