VJP Residence
Brighton, Melbourne
2025 - Current
Located in leafy Brighton, this new residence draws on the Roman domus, organised around a sheltered garden courtyard and a layered entry sequence. Generous landscaped setbacks create a thickened edge to the site, establishing a careful balance between openness and privacy through framed views and gradual reveals.
The pool and covered alfresco sit within this inner garden as calm, sculptural elements, forming the centre of daily life and connecting directly to a private wellness suite. The material palette is warm and tactile: chalky limestone pairs with cement render, while restrained bronze detailing mark edges and thresholds.
