Toorak Architects

Our work in Toorak and Stonnington begins with atmosphere. We design homes where light, sequence, privacy and material longevity shape daily life, across new homes, renovations and extensions, and heritage-sensitive upgrades.

In this part of inner Melbourne, the questions are rarely about style. They are about neighbours, planning controls, heritage conditions, deep plans, and how to bring light into a house without turning the interior into a display. We work with those realities through proportion, controlled openings, layered thresholds, and a clear spatial hierarchy that gives a home calm.

We approach interiors as architecture. Joinery, materials, junctions and lighting are resolved as part of the same idea, so the experience of the home is coherent from the inside out. The intention is a house that feels composed and familiar, not one that relies on novelty.

Longevity is central. Materials are chosen for durability and the way they weather. Details are designed to hold their line over time. Performance begins with light, shelter and orientation, then is refined through disciplined planning and buildable resolution rather than excess.

We work closely with clients through concept design, design development, approvals and delivery. The aim is clarity, not noise. Decisions are made with rationale and carried through to documentation and detailing so the architecture remains consistent as the project becomes real.

Selected projects in the area include SLD Residence, Davidov Architects Studio, LSD Residence, GG Residence and Martin Court Residences.
